Since the establishment of T&C Law Firm in 1986，T&C has set up two modern offices in Shanghai and Hangzhou, both of which are located at the heart of the city’s CBD. We are consistently committed to help our clients to achieve their business goals,

and over the past twenty years, have earned high reputation among clients for our dedicated, integral and client-focused services. T&C wins two highest honors in the field of legal practice in China, which are “Ministerial-level Civilization Law Firm” as awarded by the Ministry of Justice of the P.R.C, and “National Outstanding Law Firm” as awarded by All China Lawyers Association.

T&C has 110 lawyers and other professionals, who comprise a dedicated and multi-disciplinary team of T&C. Most of T&C lawyers graduated from renowned law schools in China, among nearly half of whom have received master degrees or have international academic background. Our principle is to, relying on our extensive and depth legal resources, deliver efficient and quality legal services to our clients with an adaptable team specifically selected to meet the clients’ need whenever and wherever they arise. In order to provide high standard of cross-border services to clients, we have established close cooperation with our counterparts in many large cities in China as well as international law firms and built up a wide association network (namely, SGLA).

Investment and financing, intellectual property, labour dispute resolution and legal risk management are featured areas which T&C(Shanghai) has been highly recognized for.

T&C(Shanghai) provides advice in relation to full spectrum of investment and financing, including international investment (e.g. foreign direct investment, domestic enterprise’s foreign investment), international financing(e.g. syndicated lending, project financing), private equity investment and venture capital investment, M&A, initial public offerings on domestic and overseas stock exchanges. In addition to the legal services, we also help our clients to achieve their goals by providing added-value services such as investment and financing consultations that will consistently exceed their expectations.

Intellectual property team of T&C(Shanghai) advises clients on legal issues relating to copyright of motion pictures, consultations on copyright laws, comprehensive protection of copyright, trade mark right, patent right and trade secrets. We also assist enterprises in designing practical IP rights protection schemes.

T&C(Shanghai)’s labour group has resources and expertise to advise local and cross-border clients on a full range of labour issues, such as tackling labour relationships, design and management of employment contracts and labour dispute resolution.

Legal risk management is an emerging service offered by T&C(Shanghai). We aims to help clients to control its legal and management risks during the course of its management and operation by means of evaluation and summary of legal risks inherent in the operation of enterprises, survey and assessment of assets and operation of enterprises, evaluation of legal risks in assets restructuring, reorganization and M&A deals, assessment on significant investment projects of clients as well as advice on improvement of implementation.
